Keeping your mac running smoothly is very important for your freelancing. I often see many macs that are not updated to the latest OS (right now, it’s 10.5.7). It’s a very common thing for us designers to avoid updating after we have everything running perfectly- but for personal experience, every update released by Apple has been positive and they make my mac feel snappier, more responsive and overall, make working a better experience. The same goes for the applications that I often use, like the Creative Suite or other apps that usually help me do the job.
So, if you are hesitant of updating, make sure you read online on user boards, like Apple Discussions or the Adobe Forums that have many comments and feedback from other users that have already installed the updates or patches. Go ahead, read away and don’t be afraid to upgrade.
